Download & Decrypt Data

In order to access the genetic data that the Customer has sent to Genetic Analyst, the data need to be converted into unreadable data into its original form so that it can be understood by the Genetic Analyst to analyze the data.

The decryption is performed by using keys used to encrypt the original data (which is done on the Customer side).

The biggest drawback to decrypting data is the several hours required to read, decrypt, and write each sector. The larger the data, the longer decryption takes.
