# Welcome to DeBio

The Anonymous-First Appchain for Medical and Bioinformatics Data

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En9UcX3NEOg>" %}

#### **The DeBio Network is a decentralized anonymous-first platform for medical and bioinformatics data specializing in genetics testing.**

Genetics testing has experienced explosive growth in recent years due to its applications in identifying diseases and health risks — as well as a rising interest in ancestral tracing. But with this increase in growth has also come an increase in ethical concerns regarding an individual’s right to autonomy, privacy, and confidentiality.

Genetic testing is a promising technology that may assess an individual's inherent risk for disease and disability. Genetically determined risk predictions can be used to design treatments based on genetic and non-genetic factors —  and even cure or eliminate some diseases via gene-editing technologies.&#x20;

But the predictive nature inherent in genetic testing also makes it liable for misuse. Individuals have been denied health care, insurance, and employment, based on knowable genetic dispositions. This misuse is generally referred to as “genetic discrimination.”

#### **What are we trying to solve?**

1. **Addressing Genetic Discrimination**
2. **Government Agencies Access to Genetic Data**
3. **Solution for the Genetic Testing Market and its Users**

# Introduction to DeBio

The Anonymous-First Appchain for Medical and Bioinformatics Data

## Our Vision

:white\_check\_mark: Allow users to sample and test anonymously, without leaving home.&#x20;

:white\_check\_mark: Allow users to monetize their genetic and biomedical data.&#x20;

:white\_check\_mark: Empower labs of all sizes to collaborate on analyzing genetic and medical data, and offering joint biomedical products.

## Our Concept

### Physical to Digital Bridge

DeBio users can access our genetic testing marketplace by choosing a wide range of services from recommended laboratories.

Before making an order, all users are required to generate an account first and bind their wallets. A smart contract will lock the number of tokens required to pay. Afterward, the user will get a code that represents their public key. Users sample themselves, put on an envelope with the lab address and code then send it anonymously without a return address.

Once the Lab is finished, they will upload the results (in the form of VCF data and report) and the user shall receive it anonymously (encrypted by Lab with the user’s public key).

The user's data is completely sovereign, with no paired KYC or identity.

### Sovereign Lab Collaboration

The lab will receive a notification when there is an order for biomedical testing services. Once an anonymous sample from the selected biomedical test service arrives, the lab may key in the envelope code and get the Customer’s public key.

Lab then executes lab work; quality control, analysis on the physical samples, and/or any requested biomarker tests. However, please note there might be a possibility that their sample is rejected because of various reasons (e.g. samples are contaminated). Once results are produced, Lab can upload to DeBio to be encrypted with the Customer’s public key and uploaded into distributed storage.

# Roadmap Infographic

![](/files/E6NLWdkfHPgFn2VhINuc)

The idea of DeBio was first conceived in December 2020. Development then started at the beginning of January 2021 in parallel with our first seed funding round with friends and family. We continued the development process until the end of February when we entered as a competitor in a hackathon at a leading blockchain conference ETHDenver.&#x20;

DeBio (previously named Degenics) was named Winner for Best IPFS Use for Identity, and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) winner for its fully anonymous DNA testing marketplace.&#x20;

In March of 2021, we began the research and development of our escrow feature until the end of May when we released our first para chain on the Octopus Network test net. In June we started the development of our second product DeMedical. This feature enables users to upload their electronic medical records.

TGE and listing will be in July parallel with the development of our data marketplace and will continue until August. From then on we plan to continue to integrate our services with the rest of our partners.

In 2022 we plan to further develop our marketplace. With an expansion to onboard more users and labs. Along with additional B2B collaboration exploration.

# Tokenomics

# The Token Model

<figure><img src="/files/1pBRIq6WEjVrU7ZJg2E9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The DeBio Network team is developing a foundational token, $DBIO, designed for a variety of critical functions within the ecosystem, including:

* Operating Validator Nodes
* Earning Token Farming Rewards
* Initiating Service Requests
* Facilitating Lab & Analyst Onboarding
* Accessing the Menstrual Calendar Feature

For other DeBio services, transactions will be conducted using the $USDT.e stablecoin. Services requiring $USDT.e payment include:

* Genetic Testing
* Genetic Analysis
* AI-Powered Wellness Insights
* Access to Consultable Persona

The revenue generated from these services in $USDT.e will be strategically reinvested into the ecosystem through the buyback of $DBIO tokens from the open market. Furthermore, $DBIO tokens received as payment for services will be systematically removed from circulation through a burning process, enhancing the token's value and sustainability within the DeBio ecosystem.

<figure><img src="/files/KrT6Z8xB2ILK2nOp0Ov5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

On the DeBio platform, transactions are facilitated using $DBIO and $USDT.e. The graphic below illustrates how revenue generated from these transactions is strategically allocated towards buybacks, token burning (removing $DBIO from circulation), or making requests for services. This approach is aimed at decreasing the total supply of $DBIO and supporting its market value.

<figure><img src="/files/cIN3u84lLk2NsFOE5e9z" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Furthermore, users have the opportunity to contribute liquidity on Ref Finance, where $DBIO can be traded for $USDT.e or $NEAR. In appreciation of their contribution, liquidity providers are rewarded with regular farming incentives by the team.

For those interested in further engagement with the ecosystem, hosting a validator node on the Octopus Network is an available option. This requires holding some $OCT tokens to participate.

# Token Distribution

![](/files/SXebKWdhlBFvwpawpnYZ)

The token distribution will be divided into 5 parties: The community, app chain validators, the DAO, the investors and the DeBio Network team. Each owning a lesser percentage than the last. Both community and app chain validators will receive a total of 50% of the pie, while the team behind the project will only receive 12.5%.&#x20;

There are 4 rounds for investments in the DeBio project with a total sum of 17.5%. As of today, the DeBio Network team has finished two investment rounds giving away 7.5% of the stake to both angel and seed investors.

### **Mainnet Coin (stable coin, etc)**

The Mainnet coin will be backed by a stable coin. We decided to use a stable coin because the Mainnet coin is intended to be used for transactional purposes, or fees for work being done by the corresponding labs. We are intending to use USDT, USDC, and USDT.e as our stable coin. Governance Token ($GBIO)\
\
Governance tokens are intentionally made for the labs. Because The DeBio Network is essentially a decentralized organization, the labs would need a token to be used for voting in the DAOGenics marketplace. The Governance Token can also serve as a method for lab onboarding.

### **Validator & Transaction Rewards ($DBIO)**

The Validator Token is used to incentivize the node owners to validate transactions and protect the dApp from unauthorized users. The intended incentives provided for validators are LP rewards and Governance tokens.

# Request Service

If users are unable to find the service they need when requesting a test, they can propose a service to a local lab by staking a certain amount of $DBIO. This stake acts as a commitment from the user, indicating their intention to proceed with the test once the lab agrees to provide the requested service.

Upon submitting their request, DeBio Network will coordinate with the local lab to fulfill the service. Labs interested in offering the requested service can refer to the Request for Service [Map](https://lab.debio.network/request-service), where requests are indicated by colored countries; the intensity of the color reflects the volume of requests. Verified labs can immediately respond to these requests, while labs that haven't been verified must undergo verification first.

When a lab makes the requested service available, users can then proceed to order the test, using their staked $DBIO towards the payment. The system will present an order summary before payment is processed, allowing users to see if they owe an additional amount or are due for a refund based on their initial stake.

For instance, if a user stakes 400 $DBIO and the total cost of the requested service is 950 $DBIO, the user would then need to pay the remaining 550 $DBIO to proceed with the service.

![](/files/vgJP5Ojj0x5DFp6XSPRl)

Conversely, should the staked amount exceed the total cost of the service, the system will automatically issue a refund for the difference.

# Request Genetic Analysis

Our DNA is a unique blueprint that holds the keys to our health, heredity, and potential diseases, discoverable through genetic testing. DeBio Network now enables users to utilize their DBIO tokens to request a range of services within their locality, including Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS). This comprehensive analysis deciphers the sequence of all nucleotides in an individual’s DNA, identifying variations across the genome.

In the past, DNA sequencing efforts often missed parts of the genome. However, thanks to significant advancements in DNA sequencing technology and scientific research, it's now possible to sequence an entire genome from start to finish. These advancements not only allow for more detailed DNA interpretation but also accelerate the identification of genes linked to common diseases, enhancing our understanding of genetic information.

To align with these technological strides in human genome sequencing, DeBio is introducing a new feature called “Request Genetic Analysis.” This innovative service enables customers to request a genetic or DNA analysis from a verified Genetic Analyst on the DeBio dApp, using their uploaded genome data. This service aims to provide users, who have undergone testing in previous years, with a more comprehensive and detailed interpretation of their genetic data, potentially leading to better treatment options.

The following outlines the workflow for the Request Genetic Analysis process.

![](/files/QQpMXjHLUpquA3b38OSO)

Currently, Genetic Analysts have been added to our system through a manual onboarding process. However, this process will be automated moving forward. Genetic Analysts will just need to stake DBIO tokens to activate their status and offer services on the DeBio Network.&#x20;

Before becoming active, all Genetic Analysts on the DeBio platform will undergo a thorough vetting and verification process conducted by DeBio's Bioinformatics Advisors. Once approved, they are eligible to provide their services through DeBio.

Services available on the DeBio platform are intended solely for research, informational, and educational purposes.

# How to Bridge Your $DBIO and $USDT to the DeBio Network Appchain

$DBIO is a native token on the NEAR Protocol but [compatible with a Substrate-based chain](https://blog.debio.network/dbio-follows-the-substrate-standard-and-the-farm-reaches-an-all-time-high-apr-in-ref-finance-e1f8ae7900e4) thanks to the Octopus Network bridge. This also applicable for $USDT.e (a token representing USDT on NEAR Protocol that was bridged from the Ethereum blockchain via the Rainbow Bridge). inside The Octopus Network bridge transfers value from a native NEAR Protocol token into their Appchains. Every Octopus Network Appchain is a Substrate-based chain because Octopus Network is built on top of Substrate for interoperability purposes.

# How to Get Free Testnet Token on Rinkeby

After you created a Metamask wallet, you will need some "money" to pay for your order in DeBio. Here's how.

Since this is a demo app that runs on **Rinkeby test network**, you can get **free test token** to transact. Please mind that you cannot use the token to purchase stuffs in real life since they only work in testing environment and not worth anything. &#x20;

In this tutorial, we will try to get free **ETH** and **DAI** which is the currency we use to transact in DeBio but before we jump into that let's talk a bit about Rinkeby test netwok.

So Rinkeby is an example of Ethereum test network. Test network or testnet helps companies to run test on dApp (decentralized app) without losing any real money. The opposite of testnet is mainnet where you store your real money.&#x20;

To start, open your Metamask wallet. You can do this by clicking the Metamask icon which is a tiny fox located on the top right screen on your browser. You can also choose to 'Expand View' if you wish to display the app fullscreen like what you'll see in this tutorial. Metamask may ask you to enter your password depending on your setting.

![](/files/-MhVhmXZMAKCrl1qJ6Gn)

![](/files/-MhViLTBlvz3kj2ViTdc)

Now, click on the dropdown. You'll see several networks such as Mainnet, Rinkeby, Ropsten, etc. Click on 'Rinkeby Test Network'.&#x20;

![](/files/-MhVX79iutP4L4LjVpdz)

## How to Get ETH Test Token

First, copy your address/public key. Your token will be sent to this address so make sure it's correct.

![](/files/-MhVZJnP2T8WT-km2z9j)

Then you can create a Facebook or Twitter post containing that address. In this tutorial, we will use Twitter as an example. When you done posting your tweet (make sure it's a public post), click on the post then select the URL by clicking it. Then right click on the URL and select 'Copy' or you can do that by pressing CTRL + C on your keyboard.

# How to Provide $DBIO/$NEAR Liquidity on Ref Finance and Earn $REF

A comprehensive step-by-step guide to providing liquidity in Ref Finance

![Image by Haidar.](https://miro.medium.com/max/1400/1*BFzqbAO9jTLC8n7NrXeP4A.png)

$DBIO is a native token on the NEAR Protocol. You need to have a NEAR wallet and some $NEAR to provide liquidity in a $DBIO/$NEAR farm. You can create a wallet on the NEAR Protocol [here](https://wallet.near.org/), and you can follow the instructions there.

## Bridge Your Funds From ETH to NEAR

If you want to transfer some of your funds from the Ethereum ecosystem to NEAR, you can use the[ Rainbow Bridge](https://ethereum.bridgetonear.org/). The[ Rainbow Bridge](https://ethereum.bridgetonear.org/) is a native ETH ↔ NEAR Bridge built by NEAR Protocol.

The biggest tokens from Ethereum are now available on the NEAR Protocol.[ Rainbow Bridge](https://ethereum.bridgetonear.org/) doesn’t physically transfer tokens between networks because that is impossible. Instead, it utilizes a[ smart contract](https://learnnear.club/how-the-near-rainbow-bridge-works/) to lock tokens on the Ethereum ecosystem and mint them on NEAR (and vice-versa if you want to go from NEAR to Ethereum).

After you have bridged your funds to NEAR from Ethereum, you can use Ref Finance to exchange it with $DBIO tokens provided by the liquidity pools.

The NEAR Protocol already provides resources for you to use the[ Rainbow Bridge](https://ethereum.bridgetonear.org/):

* You can check out an in-depth video walk-through on how to bridge your funds from Ethereum to NEAR[ here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbmnITYLE-M).
* You can learn more about how[ Rainbow Bridge](https://ethereum.bridgetonear.org/) works[ here](https://learnnear.club/how-the-near-rainbow-bridge-works/).

## How to Deposit to Your Ref Finance Account

Ref Finance has a separate account for depositing funds. You need to connect your NEAR Wallet with Ref Finance’s account.

![Image by Author](https://miro.medium.com/max/875/1*BUptthrOtRJ4bevNdhoAjg.png)

In the top right of the Ref Finance dashboard, click on the **“Connect to Near”** button.

![Image by Author](https://miro.medium.com/max/875/1*Z29eN5Jtw0ugIpNiOA0TTQ.png)

After successfully connecting your account, you can either:

1. Wrap your $NEAR and get $wNEAR.
2. Deposit $NEAR directly to your Ref Finance wallet.

To wrap your $NEAR, click the **“Wrap Near”** button on the top right of your Ref Finance dashboard.

![Image by Author](https://miro.medium.com/max/875/1*mmvVzb8fVcTzYOuzQ9ZRbA.png)

# Data Bounty

Data Bounty enables customers/patients to submit their test results (Datasets) from degenics, deMedicals, and/or dEMRs to privacy computing in the DeBio Network. Customers can add their data as bounty from My Test under the Test List tab.

![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/HL7rm80snJ9scBS1zqVgRxYy6-bwOqMUrfkPtPsjheuqdEKh90mEH3eqPfW6GP0405lKj7CvlwOiAvsDlZPCcRp7T2k3ZEuSNW6-twwyPh_k91UmqOcazV87sNIRRg)

The submitted data will be listed under the Data Bounty page. Customers will earn a $DBIO reward as a bounty after submitting their test results. $DBIO reward amount will be determined by DAOGenics.&#x20;

DAOGenics may change the $DBIO reward amount at any time, for any reason without prior notice. Customers will also get a hashcode for each dataset that they sold.

![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/rjtIhwQLDjjho9BN6Dl3LY8M6KSIF4lNtUg8pyFfLF_-pTWsvccGYIXge2Oo2deBii4LLvdMhaMfhrQkb3SVGgkBqdpEJE9pISuygktrSIUKEkzolZ86dyZwZV_Xlg)

# Request Service

Request service feature allows users to request genetic and/or biomedical testing services from nearby labs. In this case, the Customer wants to do a test but cannot find any labs in their area that provide the specific test. Customers will perform ‘Request Service’ by staking their DBIO token until there’s a lab that responds to the request.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/kwVKykV4vbYJbpP95-grBFotI95ZfLRISjbS_EbqzWjJjvTFhggaFstHcC4zi0NT8pUfhU428meHQ9JaqzpWIEYsiUKxHI0tHH8xd--K3tDNj119aw510uE668FUBQ)

Same as step 1 request test, the Customer needs to fill in the location and service category first. However, this time the selected service category won’t be available in the selected location.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/TRU1LvhA097jJN5H5XwaVgSW8inW2_C4aoD23An2OQYZ1EyRCo2qURbGfb5s04JuRrFB35JDe-A0Mx64Dr1pmxX-zlUWqgpDrPqv0xLWWWqxoMCFrZcoyFPVWGNg3A)

Customers can request a service to the nearby location, by clicking the “Request Service” button. They are required to stake some amounts (in $DBIO) as proof that they indeed want the service to be available in their area.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/497ZtFmQH2j2pY93houff0DrYsCnMdBNRiSEQb-XmgDYt3fRFEVq52N1UACvj_RM7FTtvvcwi13ycaRC3N3nt0EDZpQP8JFm4WmfoXpBR0hPa5ww9lBCL3Rk2cUg-g)

There is no locking period. Customer’s fund can be unstaked anytime with their consent but there will be 6 days to process it.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/oLo4qwnNF1bjAgUVyoXwcXKoyz3h0Z9Zix6lXKoUzw30OARK7gJN6sj2ERVk8HIHQrpjnF2SqAuGefu4js4RY6ZQYmKjH6EPLpG13e718qtns10EkW7pv4uPxsvH1Q)

Once the Lab provides the requested service, the Customer will get notified and they can proceed to the request test process. If the staked amount is bigger than the service price, the customer will get a refund for overpayment.&#x20;

If the staked amount is smaller than the service price, the customer should pay for the outstanding amount to complete the purchase using DBIO.&#x20;

However, when the Customer has already requested a test from the requested service, they no longer be able to unstake the fund.&#x20;

Upon receiving their test result, customers will be rewarded with DBIO as a token of gratitude for using the DeBio service. By unstaking the fund, customers will lose this privilege.

# Request Genetic Analysis

Request Genetic Analysis feature allows Customers to request genetic analysis to a verified Genetic Analyst (GA) on the DeBio based on uploaded genetic data.

![](/files/DSYnzgfDJWlWgZ6QD3uy)

The first thing is that the Customers need to upload their genetic file, fill in the title and description of their data.

![](/files/WZ81WgdwnfwikR3joz99)

Once genetic data is uploaded, the Customer can choose whether they want to immediately request genetic analysis or do it later (where the data still be stored in DeBio). If the Customer wants to proceed to request genetic analysis immediately, the 1st step will be to select the data that they wish to be analyzed.

![](/files/8SrwF3Y5t8uNkdUXMQ7F)

Next, all available services from verified Genetic Analysts (GA) within the DeBio ecosystem will be shown. User can select their preferred service from their chosen GA.

![](/files/7WlcqlSJ9THIOirF4HgU)

Step 3 - Once the user selected their preferred service and GA, they will be redirected to the checkout order page where they can make a payment.

![](/files/x09X8LyB3iuPiZdTyQEh)

Step 4 - Upon successful payment, the system will show the summary of the order.

![](/files/HYRRxO7v2LuR7TNq9LWr)

Once Genetic Analysts proceed with the request, the Customer can monitor the progress under “My Genetic Data - Genetic Analysis List”.

![](/files/zGQffPozkTvfaXazdG9Y)

If the GA rejected the requested order, the Customer will get a refund immediately. Customers can also check the reason for rejection by clicking on the view (eye icon) button.

Once the result is ready, the Customer can view and download the results.&#x20;

![](/files/IcSHfKPfEkG1O6yTwHrz)

# EMR

The Customer will be able to upload their collection of Personal Health Record (PHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to DeBio. It can be the Customers’ medical history such as diagnoses, treatment plans, immunization, allergies, radiology, and laboratory results.

![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/VZXHiIejvE1twCwyk_qQRhbcZsc8zFqhv0O4QMgKdN0K2voFvuTnfa63QbXljaASrlSj21ZcpKDmR20a8LO21zc3VktFT1c4YhsAf3QYqVhmps4V5twxJOzsf7NzKA)

Customers can simply add their EMR and select the EMR categories. Each category can be added to multiple files. Before uploading, the Customer needs to encrypt EMR files by inputting their password.

![](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/KsKY01z0VKy5Fxq_1oIuwuuSsWfsV4e2_QB0tRkMu2dJQKJpemHMy2P75mb159cBBTKy0jp1sgSVONwvtpoy3vRj5d0rZ2TwB0m6QNhsAzmDPsjMX5LrTII-AVBIuw)

Once files are uploaded, the Customer can view the EMR files under EMR details.

![](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_VS8vOkP8yRqJseUXBoqwustgyG3J52pJ3lhXeSPRV8s1OPN-Z-AWqGP58zVO_FejONMSQbALCMPaff-LFhFCt3gcwAzI53iQPPJ1ELPZgesXW4T8nFtOfHnmiQLMg)

# Upload & Encrypt Data

In order to protect the confidentiality of digital data either stored on transmitted through a network like the internet, the encryption data process will help to take plain text into an unreadable format - called “ciphertext”. So that other people will not be able to read the data as Customers use an encryption algorithm. Data is encrypted to securely protect data that anyone else cannot access.

![](/files/71WiI2hm52HGXPyhTsN1)

During the upload of genetic data, encryption is done by the Customer. However, the destination is still not decided yet.&#x20;

When the Customer request genetic analysis, in step 2 they will choose the service and genetic analyst. In this case, we need an extra process to decrypt the data that the Customers wish to analyze to the destination (which is the Genetic Analyst).

To unlock the data, both the Customer and the Genetic Analyst need to use a “secret” encryption key. When the intended Genetic Analyst accesses the data, the information will be translated back to its original form. This is called decryption.

**The larger the data, the longer encryption takes** since it is required to read, encrypt, and transform to unreadable forms.

# Register Account

For Labs, Medical Doctors, and Clinics/Hospitals registration is required.

![](/files/mXVzCgJAsfuHSkeHhCEE)

Once the Lab successfully logged in to the system for the first time, they will be redirected to the dashboard page where there will be a “Register Now!” button.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/wzjAaljYKVvImMajH0zpt_9G69txEkAXYfkeDQXOdclZ04HQ_xaIAL86G6STNcgTUgaZlqt11fYTnRsaBAdReIWYiK1WJjV-5vS-NTiGbTDVYYFTxZ8m0JYTLiXk6w)

Under the registration process, there will be two (2) steps; fill in lab information and certification, and add offered services.&#x20;

Step 1 - Lab shall fill in their information and upload at least 1 certification for DAOGenics to verify.

![](/files/zEztSSEq20cpjhk4rF9N)

Step 2 - Add the offered services.

![](/files/q0mWnfhuqVRymBkqMhro)

Step 3 - Stake DBIO

![](/files/WcWOtL96ouDA8i3SCcXm)

After submission, you'll be redirected to the dashboard. Your account verification status will be reviewed by DeBio Bioinformatics Advisors (DAOGenics).

![](/files/QqBEapFco3i2yp0PL2vE)

Once DAOGenics verified Lab’s account, Lab will receive a notification and get **2 $DBIO** as a reward. The lab may begin its business process and all its available services will be shown on the Customer’s side.

# Process Order (Request Test)

The lab will get notified when there is a new order coming, they can also check the status of an order under Dashboard and/or Orders page.

![](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/nRWmjQh8ls81ASse9i66-ybKzYqIHbgzgALcE_4g_f1LS93kdzOaGI3gHvalMnY4xDsXfnQyyCGaX1peEKYQn-1QScjFysQRfpeaxWU2FMMvcAs6SzUI3292xaeRxw)

Once the DNA sample has arrived at the chosen Lab, they should fill in the specimen number as they already received the sample.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/WihNG8aoxfZBd2YqNzzVD9US3P9tuKz5MDM12CMqyIebh6Sh0gxe3o1s08fI2AKLb7fcCox4pFmPoN2H8N_gSw8k0qozMir0qifwziIs9BugZ2nnNuy55B4bI0GMPw)

The next step is quality control, all samples will be checked whether it is passed the QC or failed because of contamination during the shipping process.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/wgTHr_KzGkWGcxNIU-fJRlwnEK9xJmsD1Gqf7Nf-PSjNFGGVmN6pfiT7QLC59LeW0JYAkqrh0_LL03qzBtSqTaNn97JrttJ7ahtRceHBDdTth9yd8iguocBHcLwq4w)

If the sample passed the QC, Lab can continue to analyze the sample.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/Yml23jYj2aiU8plZfjmEL7YrAd5iGg7GoBw5yfn3WOm-JK2EGWuUHEpSTgnhjfaTMqNi65c3x4-cMSeqIajX5u5fjWdilGs_rkpt4dFjfLLUTTWaU7sTPrql2E8XvA)

After the Lab completed the analysis process, they can upload the result to the system. The result will contain two (2) types; dataset (raw data) and report. For some services, raw data might not be needed.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/gVTzmjDEY5XCFqztFBN_wCgD4ABHPmXF54v_XdhxWGSCZOAsUvr8adTldhnSHLMv3vsMcqUyMQRITJiJ8PxExWgNgdDdOPpNtsZJ_puSVomYzNdMcyLC4deD2dhAhQ)

Before sending the results to the customer, the Lab needs to upload the report first.

![](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/N6A_481CYJH2TGEXzrUdoSxgbn1IGMuiB6HJjaQOVuCndLKS1lWF2cqw-D4z8uyhsd4wS2RCzC5Wbi6NqG5NdsEY-hHNtDyx9gvH-HM003SlNgwTs1e853Tq9erEow)

Once all results have been uploaded, the Lab can send the results to the Customer.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/LM_STlfTeh5JfqMVtiyXaE9dg7IbL12e6FL2NzLX7WyGmZAE6MDIQOiqRGNAfmOAXHBlQSgQWxSIjyGA4K4ojD3a5V2EDrPUlHejkQxldCKI5u2Y6Ev-E39J8e_BMw)

Upon completion of the process order, the Lab will get full payment (service price & QC price). If the Lab provides service from the requested service, they will receive 10% DBIO from the total price as a reward for every test sold to the Customer who went through the request service process.

# Provide Service

The lab can monitor the requested services from the map, the country has color meaning there is a request made in that country. If the Labs want to see service requests nearby, they can search by location.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/GypOkzAcxyayInbhbMnAxwyH8UwDPj_Brkp1zTFJchCLAj9pKnKACBzIxVMYxLSGiaAJA5WEWYd52n6BqbANZHlK-ctuQKC69ZyPWA8Nw6Ea0q0Oq__Y3wdGbKrTlw)

The Labs can provide service if their specialty matched the service requested.

![](https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/gVOSXNRJHdoYkxZJVcR8ZaJ94_PRSACtU01qkWyPZ0Vyk2t6dXtgXJBl1QxPjpOrCMwOCtlD5KEnAWjTgZJDRPmRDNvlXDmF8Irz8xoriNLBs98pWTYnrHfTWK7Sig)

If the Labs haven’t registered and verified or haven’t onboarded to DeBio, they are required to register and verify before providing the service. You can see the how to generate account [here](https://app.gitbook.com/s/-Me8JCBOdWFqjBTM_Viy/c/rHBxgKI3bI898smFWtNX/complete-guidelines/lab-guideline/generate-account).

# Generate Account

## Generate Account

All users must generate an account and sign in to access the system.

![](https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/xw0PiVgfwOog-2Bi6a5jfFhFCS5cK5J9cwQlcNVn7P8gi3B75Z3Bm5TF2g-OSfYVVFh-YDY9pywvjVE4fwHmQegcHH2xNEx-94e1k2RAu-KjbjrMcNE9xmHqV1uqHA)

For new users, generating an account is required. Users will also be required to read and agree to our **Terms & Conditions** and **Privacy Policy** before the account is created.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xeiFl9R8u4Nbbu7aAL_frNW4jPPoer9bD3lO2Q8ycLmdGmN_6k85RtPYlBfQcQHvw2kblJvSwTj2WcqDgK2UPhtFYjlLE6JEApllzTLKPDjhICU8zjnJ15-nsaYaRw)

The system will give 12 phrases for users to key in as well as to recover their account. We suggest for users copy the phrase somewhere safe and/or screenshot.

![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/RRoLUfQY-F-PtSSVZoUyHn_OnpYzen8pXNBf2LEHhzsKbhrZTHUhgqvkxrJh2rCoBwHXfhSLicOiFrr7UlZVOkQefjpX0hkn87bzIGYguj2O6oD6d_VSPw-Qt5i1yw)

Users are required to match the phrase based on the given 12 secret backup phrases. However, users cannot paste the copied phrase, they need to manually select each phrase.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pkk_xU-dc6R_3DdbH0sKDqUmLPaX9YlVd8N2qwJoehB2-r8HZt-dLm62zu0xOyDt6KxGvtXcx_UDByxPNli3SbSpmir7dOXrnwKpy5_BLaVqis0BWylFD5YL0nWHww)

Once the recovery phrase is verified, users can set up passwords.

# Register Account

For Labs, Genetic Analysts (GA), Medical Doctors, and Clinics/Hospitals registration is required.

![](/files/PYKU374gzYnUwbuBdEoY)

Once the Genetic Analysts successfully logged in to the system for the first time, they will be redirected to the registration page where there will be 2 steps. Under the registration process, there will be two (2) steps; set up an account, and add offered services.&#x20;

Step 1 - GA shall fill in their information and qualification, also upload certification (optional) for DeBio Bioinformatic Advisors to verify.

![](/files/m3V0RR3vttXBXO8a4rar)

Step 2 - Add the offered services.

![](/files/IKLZbqEfLjuoSQ3n5VY7)

After GA finished adding the services and click on the "Submit" button, there will be a popup message for staking onboarding. Before stake, make sure that you have enough balance in your wallet.

![](/files/lmkYUogYqVLD5fLUIGvh)

Upon successful stake and registration process, GA will be redirected to the Dashboard page where they can only see the status of their verification account.

![](/files/jO4rQUmFLaCcp188tMt1)

Once DeBio Bioinformatic Advisors verified GA’s account, GA will receive a notification. The GA may begin their business process and all their available services will be shown on the Customer’s side.

# Process Order (Request Genetic Analysis)

The GA will get notified when there is a new order coming, they can also check the status of an order under Dashboard and/or Orders page.

![](/files/zqls1YlV9M84nJAcNcaB)

![](/files/pOKGmvlmmRA0Rbt33xsy)

Genetic Analysts can choose whether they want to accept or reject the order.

![](/files/vyn2w69kguBFegrHWvLM)

If the GA rejects the order, GA should fill in the reason for rejection.

![](/files/uRgSIGqNfX0cOJCuOTsf)

If the GA accepts the order, GA can continue to analyze the data and upload the result once they are finished. They also can leave comments or feedback for the Customer.

![](/files/LsitpFNfut9VR8qh2GjU)

After the GA completed the analysis process, they can upload the result to the system and submit it to the Customer.

![](/files/8RtY9o1ZLGZRzaV11bnC)

Upon completion of the process order, the GA will get a payment.

# Download & Decrypt Data

In order to access the genetic data that the Customer has sent to Genetic Analyst, the data need to be converted into unreadable data into its original form so that it can be understood by the Genetic Analyst to analyze the data.

![](/files/Joe4CgdgX4ilBiEn1b4Z)

The decryption is performed by using keys used to encrypt the original data (which is done on the Customer side).

The biggest drawback to decrypting data is the several hours required to read, decrypt, and write each sector. **The larger the data, the longer decryption takes.**

# Upload & Encrypt Data

In order to protect the confidentiality of digital data either stored on transmitted through a network like the internet, the encryption data process will help to take plain text into an unreadable format - called “ciphertext”. So that other people will not be able to read the data as Genetic Analyst use an encryption algorithm. Data is encrypted to securely protect data that anyone else cannot access.

During the upload of the result, encryption is done by the Genetic Analyst.&#x20;

To unlock the result, both the Customer and the Genetic Analyst need to use a “secret” encryption key. When the intended Customer accesses the data, the information will be translated back to its original form. This is called decryption.

**The larger the data, the longer encryption takes** since it is required to read, encrypt, and transform to unreadable forms.

# Introduction

Currently we differentiate our app base on user’s role. We have three different repositories :

#### Customer

Below are some features that can be use in [customer](https://app.debio.network/) dashboard:

* [Request Test](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/decentralized-genetics)
* [Request Service](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/request-service)
* [Request Genetic Analysis](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/request-genetic-analysis)
* [Electronic Medical Record](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/electronic-medical-record)
* [Data Bounty](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/data-bounty)

{% embed url="<https://github.com/debionetwork/debio-customer-ui>" %}

#### Lab

[Lab](https://lab.debio.network/) dashboard is purposely developed for labs to register and provide their services on DeBio Network. Lab can also monitor the requested services from customer. You can check the [lab guideline](https://docs.debio.network/complete-guidelines/lab-guideline).

{% embed url="<https://github.com/debionetwork/debio-frontend>" %}

#### Genetic Analyst

DeBio has a feature [**“Request Genetic Analysis”**](https://docs.debio.network/products-and-services/request-genetic-analysis)**,** that allows customer to request genetic/DNA analysis to a verified Genetic Analyst on the DeBio dApp based on uploaded genome data. This [Genetic Analyst](https://analyst.debio.network/) dashboard is developed specially for verified Genetic Analyst to register and process requested genetic analysis from customer. You can also check the [Genetic Analyst guidelin&#x65;*.*](https://docs.debio.network/complete-guidelines/genetic-analyst-guideline)

# DeBio Techstack

As mentioned, DeBio aim to revolutionize the current biomedical industry by giving patients full sovereignty over their data using the most cutting-edge blockchain technologies. We believe that the future of medical data relies partly on the use of blockchain, especially in the specialization of technology use cases as well as interoperability.

To guarantee patient sovereignty over their data, our entire tech stack consists of decentralized solutions ranging from decentralized authentication to decentralized file storage. We have incorporated a slew of cutting-edge technologies in our solution, including but not limited to:

### Polkadot

Polkadot enabling developers to build purposeful blockchains by allowing specialized blockchains to communicate between different blocks and applying stricter security standards of the host relay chain. We build our core services using Polkadot so the security of our distributed ledger improve.

* **Generate Account**
  * Keyring

    Keyring will allows us to manage a set of keys in a consistent environment, that allows to perform operations on these keys (such as sign/verify). Keyring is responsible for managing a set of keypairs. As such the only function it has it to allow adding and removing pairs to an interface. Each pair in itself is a specific account and on each of these accounts you can perform functions such as signing, verification and encryption/decryption of the account.

    To create the keyrings, after installation, import and create it with ***ed25519*** type.
  * Create Account

    Create an account with the specified mnemonic, encrypt the account with the password and attach some metadata to the account. It returns a pair instance as well as the encrypted json as is saved to the store.

    ```jsx
    import { mnemonicGenerate } from "polkadot/util-crypto"
    ...
    // generate a random mnemonic, 12 words in length
    const mnemonic = mnemonicGenerate(12);
    // add the account, encrypt the stored JSON with an account-specific password
    const { pair, json } = keyring.addUri(mnemonic, "myStr0ngP@sswoorD", {
    	name: "mnemonic acc"})
    ```

* **Chain State and Extrinsics on Polkadot-provider**

  DeBio team developed a Javascript Library to connect and interact with the DeBio Network blockchain, namely **@debionetwork/polkadot-provider.** It was build to make it easier to develop a project without having to re-create the functions repeatedly.

  Polkadot-provider contain all the functions we need to get all chain state and extrinsics in API. When the API connects to a node, one of the first things it does is to retrieve the metadata and decorate the API based on the metadata information.

  The metadata effectively provides data in the form of `api.<type>.<module>.<section>`

  On DeBio Network Blockchain, we use following categories:

  * query - All chain state, e.g. `api.query.system.account(<accountId>)`.
  * tx - All extrinsics, e.g. `api.tx.balances.transfer(<accountId>, <value>)`.

  **API Creation**

  The API creation is done via the `ApiPromise.create`interface and then waiting until its connected. API stored in `Vuex store`

  ```jsx
  import { ApiPromise } from "@polkadot/api"
  async connect () {
  	const api = await ApiPromise.create({ provider: wsProvider })
  	await api.isReady
    commit("SET_API", api)
  }
  ```

  As we use @debionetwork/polkadot-provider, we have to send the API as parameter to @debionetwork/polkadot-provider. Example below:

  ```jsx
  import { queryAccountBalance } from "@debionetwork/polkadot-provider"
  import { mapState } from 'vuex'
  export default {
    computed: mapState({
      api: state => state.api
      }
    })
  }
  async getBalance () {
  	const address = "5DTestUPts3kjeXSTMyerHihn1uwMfLj8vU8sqF7qYrFabHE"
  	const balance = await queryAccountBalance(this.api, address)
  }
  ```

* **Events**

  Additionally the metadata also provides information on events. Below are how we got the events on DeBioNetwork, we also store this event in `Vuex store`

  ```jsx
  api.query.system.events((events) => {
  	events.forEach((record) => {
  	const { event } = record
  	if (allowedSections.includes(event.section)) {
  		commit("SET_LAST_EVENT", event)
  	}
  })
  ```

### Metamask & Ethereum Smart Contract

#### **Metamask**

MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that enables users to store Ether and other ERC-20 tokens. DeBio use Metmask to pay order, and user need to [install Metamask](https://docs.debio.network/getting-started/how-to-install-metamask) extension on the browser.

DeBio Demo runs on **Rinkeby Test Network**, while the mainnet is runs on **Ethereum Mainnet.**

Here is the tutorial of [***How to get Free Testnet Token on Rinkeby***](https://docs.debio.network/getting-started/how-to-get-free-testnet-token-on-rinkeby).

Below is to verify if the browser is running MetaMask.

```jsx
import detectEthereumProvider from "@metamask/detect-provider"
const provider = await detectEthereumProvider()
if (provider) {
	if (provider !== window.ethereum) {
	  throw "Do you have multiple wallets installed?"
  }
	return connectToMetamask()
} else {
	console.log("Please install MetaMask!")
	return { currentAccount: "no_install" }
}
```

#### **Ethereum Smart Contract**

Smart contract is program runs on the Ethereum blockchain. It's a collection of code and data that resides at a specific address on the Ethereum blockchain. It is not controlled by a user. A smart contract deployed to the network and run as programmed. Then user can interact with it by submitting transactions that execute a function defined on the smart contract. Smart contracts can define rules, like a regular contract, and automatically enforce them via the code.

Smart contracts have balance and can send transaction over network. They locks the number of tokens required to pay. On DeBio payment from customer to Lab is lock in escrow smart contract until lab complete the test and send the result to customer.

#### **How to interact with Ethereum Smart Contract ?**

To interact with Ethereum Smart Contract, install web3 library firsts ‌that is used to make requests to Ethereum chain.

```
$ npm install web3
```

Perform operation need the address that the contract was deployed to and the contract’s **Application Binary Interface(ABI).** ABI is the interface that specifies how to interact with a specific Ethereum contract. Below is how DeBio send the transaction to Ethereum Smart Contract

```jsx
const Escrow = require("./abi/Escrow.json")
import Web3 from "web3"
import contracts from "./contracts"
async sendTransaction(to, data, from) {
  const transactionParameters = {
    to: to, // Required except during contract publications.
    maxFeePerGas: "2000000000",
    maxPriorityFeePerGas: "1000000000",
    from: from, // must match user's active address.
    data: data, // Optional, but used for defining smart contract creation and interaction.
    chainId: "0x4" // Used to prevent transaction reuse across blockchains. Auto-filled by MetaMask.
  }
  const txHash = await window.ethereum.request({
    method: "eth_sendTransaction",
    params: [transactionParameters]
  })
  return txHash
}
const ethAccount = "0xdCad3a6d...1D3AF"
const contractAddress = "0xdCad3a6d...3E6DD"
const contract = new web3.eth.Contract(Escrow.abi, contractAddress)
const txData = EscrowContract.methods.payment()
const txHash = await sendTransaction(contractAddress, txData, ethAccount)
```

### Kilt

Kilt is a blockchain protocol for creating, attesting, and verifying identities anonymously on Web3. We use Kilt to encrypt-decrypt our users data to prevent genetic data misuse, privacy and security violations, and the practice of selling genetic data without consent.

We use Kilt to secure our user authentication and also to send the user’s genomic data and results to IPFS.

#### ***Installation:***

```jsx
$ npm install @kiltprotocol/sdk-js
```

* ***BoxKeyPair***

In this process we are need public key and secret key to check the user credentials. As we sending the data between two users. Below is the example of how to get the keys.

```jsx
import Kilt from "@kiltprotocol/sdk-js"
import { u8aToHex } from "@polkadot/util"
const mnemonic = "crack glass claw illegal parroDecryption k buddy nephew slim red write weird"
const identity = Kilt.Identity.buildFromMnemonic()
publicKey = u8aToHex(identity.boxKeyPair.publicKey)
secretKey = u8aToHex(identity.boxKeyPair.secretKey)
```

* ***Encryption***

To encrypt the file, we will need `customerSecretKey` and `labPublicKey`

```jsx
import Kilt from "@kiltprotocol/sdk-js"
 async encrypt () {
		const text = "data text"
		const labPublicKey = "string"
		const customerSecretKey = "string"
		const encrypted = await Kilt.Utils.Crypto.encryptAsymmetric(text, labPublicKey, customerSecretKey)
  }
  .then(() => {
	   console.log("Encrypted")
  })
  .catch(console.error)
```

* ***Decryption***

To decrypt the file, we will need `labSecretKey` and `customerPublicKey`

```jsx
import Kilt from "@kiltprotocol/sdk-js"
async decrypt () {
	const data = "data"
	const labSecretKey = "string",
	const customerPublicKey = "string"
	const decrypted = await Kilt.Utils.Crypto.decryptAsymmetric(data, customerPublicKey, labSecretKey)
}
.then(() => {
	console.log("Decrypted")
})
.catch(console.error)
```

### IPFS Pinata

The InterPlanetary File System(IPFS) is decentralized, peer to peer file storing and sharing system. It was created a solution for decentralized projects that want to store an amount of data that is too large to be stored in the blockchain itself.

IPFS creates unique content addresses by hashing the content itself. Each unique content will have a different address pointing to its location. DeBio implements IPFS into our solution to store biomedical data such as encrypted human genomes and encrypted electronic medical records.

Additionally, we choose to use Pinata dedicated gateway to ensure the process of store and serve files on IPFS is as fast as possible, as no rate-limiting.

To simplify how the App interact with the Pinata API, we use [@debionetwork/pinata-ipfs](https://www.notion.so/Documentation-963b07e5c3eb4e078520dd51504543ed)

```jsx
import { uploadFile as pinataIpfsUploadFile } from "@debionetwork/pinata-ipfs"
const pinataKey = "pinatasecretkey"
export const uploadFile = val => {
  const options = {
    pinataMetadata: {
      name: val.title,
      keyvalues: {
        required: process.env.PINATA_DOCUMENT,
        type: val.type,
        fileSize: val.size,
        date: +new Date()
      }
    },
    pinataOptions: { cidVersion: 0 }
  }
  return pinataIpfsUploadFile( options, val.file, pinataKey)
}
export const getFileUrl = cid => {
  return `${process.env.PINATA_GATEWAY}/${cid}`
}
```

**I. Definitions**

These Terms used in this Agreement with their initial letters capitalized have the meanings ascribed to them in this section or where they are elsewhere defined in this Agreement. Any term defined in the singular will have the corresponding definition in the plural (and vice versa). As used in this Agreement:

1. “Agreement” means these Terms of Service and all Attachments.&#x20;
2. “DeBio '' refers to all parties that run DAOGenics, Ltd. that provide DeBio Services.&#x20;
3. “User” refers to the party that uses the Request Services to gain Staking Rewards.&#x20;
4. "DeBio Application" refers to application managed and maintained by DAOGenics, Ltd. in connection with Medical and Bioinformatics Services provided by Third-Party.&#x20;
5. “Staking” means use of the Service by the User to gain Staking Rewards.&#x20;
6. “DBIO” means the underlying digital asset of the DeBio Network.&#x20;
7. “Network” means any blockchain network for which our Platform is able to perform the Service.&#x20;
8. “Request Services” refers to a feature that allows User to request genetic and/or biomedical testing services from nearby labs. In this case, the User (Customer) wants to do a test but cannot find any labs in their area that provide the specific test. User (Customer) will perform ‘Request Service’ by staking their DBIO token until there’s a lab that responds to the User request.&#x20;
9. “Staking Rewards'' means DBIO token distributed by DeBio via Network.

**II. Responsibilities**

1. During the Term (as Defined below) DeBio will provide the following:&#x20;

2. During the Term (as Defined below) User shall provide the following:
   * Stake DBIO token to Request Services if there is no lab available in the User's area. This procedure will run on the Network in a decentralized manner. The transaction weight for Staking will be borne by the User.&#x20;
   * DBIO token will be staked in Request Services Network escrow until there is a lab that provides testing service requested by User. User can proceed to collection sample process submission when the testing service is available (depending on staking amount and Service fee provided by the lab).&#x20;
   * User can unstake or withdraw staked DBIO token at User discretion. The Staked DBIO token will be returned to the User wallet or account from which the DBIO token were Staked in 6 days/144 hours since unstake or withdraw action was proceed.&#x20;
   * User can unstake or withdraw staked DBIO token with one exception. If User decides to proceed to do the Request Test after the service is available from Request Service, then the Staked DBIO token can’t be unstaked or withdrawn because the Staked DBIO token will be used as payment purpose for continuing to the Request Test services.&#x20;
   * In order to proceed to Request Test, User will need to pay or receive an “amount of fee” depending on the calculation of Service fee given by the lab subtracted by User’s Staked amount. In further terms the “amount of fee” stated above will still be called Staked amount.&#x20;
   * If the Request Test is successful (meaning that User has completed to do the step above, submit the collection sample to the lab, and the lab has provided the test’s result for User), the Staked DBIO token will be received by the lab as a settlement for providing testing services. If the User’s collection sample do not meet the requirement from lab biological perspective (sample rejected or failed), the Staked DBIO token will be returned (after subtracted by an amount of fee needed by lab to do some quality control on the sample) to the User wallet or account from which the DBIO token were Staked.
   * User will receive DBIO token staking rewards after the Request Test is successful and User gets the test result. If sample collection is rejected or failed, User is still rewarded because User participates to bring the lab into the requested location by Request Services.&#x20;
   * The sample management of the User is hereby under the authority of the Laboratory and its services, under the jurisdiction of the Agreement between the User and the Laboratory. The User hereby declares that they fully understand the sample management, sample collection, sample storage, and the data report produced must be in accordance with the Agreement by the selected Laboratory. ## Exhibit B

### **Certain Risks Relating to Purchase, Sale and Use of the Tokens**

The Tokens are not being structured or sold as securities or any other form of investment product, financial instrument, or similar. Accordingly, none of the information presented in this **Exhibit B** or anywhere else in the Terms is intended to form the basis for any investment decision, and does not constitute any financial, investment, legal, tax, or other professional advice or recommendations. DGL expressly disclaims any and all responsibility for any direct or consequential loss or damage of any kind whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from: (i) reliance on any information contained in this **Exhibit B**, (ii) any error, omission or inaccuracy in any such information, or (iii) any action resulting from such information.

By purchasing, holding and using the Tokens, you expressly acknowledge and assume the risks set out in these Terms, including those listed in this **Exhibit B**.

#### 1. Regulatory risks

The regulation of tokens such as the Tokens is still in a very nascent stage of development in Singapore. A high degree of uncertainty as to how tokens and token-related activities are to be treated exists. The applicable legal and regulatory framework may change subsequent to the date of these Terms. It is not possible to anticipate with any degree of certainty the nature of such regulatory evolution and the subsequent impact on DGL or the Tokens.

#### 2. No regulatory supervision

None of DGL or its affiliates is currently regulated or subject to the supervision of any regulatory body in Singapore. In particular, DGL and its affiliates are not registered with MAS in Singapore as any type of regulated financial institution or financial advisor and are not subject to the standards imposed upon such persons under the Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisors Act, and other related regulatory instruments. Such persons are required to comply with a variety of requirements and standards concerning disclosures, reporting, compliance, and conduct of their operations for purposes or maximising investor protections. Since DGL is not subject to such requirements or standards, it will make decisions on those issues at its own discretion. While DGL will have regard to best practices on these issues, holders of the Tokens will not necessarily enjoy the same extent and degree of investor protections as would be the case should they purchase products or services from regulated entities instead.

#### 3. No fiduciary duties owed

As DGL is not a regulated financial institution, it does not owe holders of the Tokens any fiduciary duties. This means that DGL has no legal obligation to always act in good faith in the best interests of holders of the Tokens. While DGL will have regard to the interests of holders of the Tokens, it is also permitted to consider the interests of other key stakeholders and to prefer these interests over the interests of the Tokens holders. This may mean that DGL is permitted to make decisions that conflict with, or are not necessarily in, the interests of the Tokens holders. Not owing any fiduciary duties to holders of the Tokens also means that holders of the Tokens may have limited rights of recourse against DGL and its affiliates in the event of disputes.

#### 4. Tax risks

The tax characterization of the Tokens is unclear. Accordingly, the tax treatment to which they will be subject is uncertain. All persons who wish to purchase the Tokens should seek independent tax advice prior to deciding whether to purchase any Tokens. DGL does not make any representation as to whether any tax consequences may arise from purchasing or holding the Tokens.

#### 5. Risks from third parties

The tokenized nature of the Tokens means that they are a blockchain-based asset. The security, transferability, storage, and accessibility of blockchain assets depends on factors outside of DGL’s control, such as the security, stability, and suitability of the underlying blockchain, mining disruptions, and who has access to the private key of any wallet where the Tokens are stored. DGL does not represent or otherwise assure that it can prevent such external factors from having any direct or indirect adverse impact on any of the Tokens. Persons intending to purchase the Tokens should note that adverse events caused by such external factors may result in the loss of some or all the Tokens purchased. Such loss may be irreversible. DGL is not responsible for taking steps to retrieve the Tokens lost in this manner.

As with other decentralized cryptographic tokens, the Tokens are susceptible to attacks by miners in the course of validating the Tokens transactions on the blockchain, including, but not limited, to double-spend, majority mining power, and selfish-mining attacks. Hackers or other malicious groups or organizations may attempt to interfere with the Services, the DeBio Network, or the Tokens in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, malware attacks, denial of service attacks, consensus-based attacks, Sybil attacks, smurfing and spoofing, etc. Any successful attacks present a risk to the Services, the DeBio Network, and the Tokens, including, but not limited to, accurate execution and recording of transactions involving the Tokens.

#### 6. Risks in purchasing THE Tokens

DGL cannot and does not guarantee or otherwise assure that there are no risks in relation to your purchase of the Tokens. The purchase of the Tokens may, depending on the manner in which the relevant purchase is effected, involve third parties or external platforms (e.g., wallets). The involvement of such parties or platforms may introduce risks that would not otherwise be present, such as misconduct or fraud by the third party, or your failure to receive the Tokens upon duly making payment because of a third-party wallet’s incompatibility with the Tokens. DGL is not responsible for any risks arising due to the involvement of third parties, including the risk of not receiving (or subsequently losing) any or all the Tokens you attempt to (or successfully) purchase.

#### 7. Risk of Losing Access to THE Tokens

Crypto-assets such as the Tokens are commonly stored in storage devices such as wallets. Usually, you must have certain information, such as a private key, in order to access and use such storage devices. The loss of the private key(s) associated with your storage device where you store your Tokens will result in loss of such Tokens. Furthermore, any third party that gains access to these private key(s), including by gaining access to login credentials of a hosted wallet service you use, may be able to misappropriate or convert your Tokens.

#### 8. Market risks

The Tokens are intended to be used solely in connection with the Services, and DGL will not support or otherwise facilitate any secondary trading or external valuation of the Tokens. This restricts the contemplated avenues for using the Tokens to the provision or receipt of Services and could therefore create illiquidity risk with respect to the Tokens you hold. Even if secondary trading of the Tokens is facilitated by third party exchanges, such exchanges may be relatively new and subject to little or no regulatory oversight, making them susceptible to fraud or manipulation. Furthermore, to the extent that third parties do ascribe an external exchange value to the Tokens (e.g., as denominated in a digital or fiat currency), such value may be extremely volatile and diminish to zero.

#### 9. Risk of Uninsured Losses

The Tokens are uninsured unless you specifically obtain private insurance to insure them. Thus, in the event of loss or loss of utility value, there is no public insurer or private insurance that we have or will arrange for in order to offer recourse to you.

#### 10. Risk of Alternative Networks

It is possible that alternative networks could be established that utilize the same open-source code and protocol underlying the Services and attempt to facilitate services that are materially similar to the Services. The Services may compete with these alternative networks, which could negatively impact the Services and the Tokens.

#### 11. Risk of Insufficient Interest

It is possible that neither the Services nor the DeBio Network will be used by a large number of individuals, companies, and other entities or that there will be limited public interest in the creation and development of distributed ecosystems (such as the DeBio Network) more generally. Such a lack of use or interest could negatively impact the development of the DeBio Network and therefore the potential utility of the Tokens.

#### 12. Risks Associated with Development and Maintenance

The Services and the DeBio Network are still under development and may undergo significant changes over time. Although DGL intends for development to progress in the fashion outlined in its white paper, and intend to take commercially reasonable steps toward those ends, DGL may have to make changes to the specifications for any number of legitimate reasons. This could create the risk that the Services, the DeBio Network, and the Tokens, as further developed and maintained, may not meet your expectations at the time of purchase. Furthermore, it is still possible that the Services or the DeBio Network will experience malfunctions or otherwise fail to be adequately developed or maintained despite our good faith efforts to prevent this from occurring. This may negatively impact the Services, the DeBio Network, and the Tokens.

#### 13. Risk of Dissolution

It is possible that, due to any number of reasons, including, but not limited to, a decrease in the utility of the Tokens, the failure of commercial relationships, or intellectual property ownership challenges, the Services, DGL, or the DeBio Network may no longer be viable to offer or operate and DGL may suspend operations or dissolve.

#### 14. Risks Arising from Governance rights and control

Because the Tokens confer no control or governance rights of any kind with respect to the Services, the DeBio Network, or DGL or its affiliates, all decisions involving the Services or the DeBio Network will be made by DGL at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, decisions to discontinue all or part of the Services; create and sell more the Tokens providing access to the Services; or to sell or liquidate DGL. These decisions could adversely affect you in various ways, including in relation to your use of the Services and the Tokens you hold.

#### 15. Unanticipated Risks

Cryptographic tokens such as the Tokens are a new and untested technology. In addition to the risks included in this **Exhibit B**, other risks may arise in connection with your purchase, holding, and use of the Tokens, including risks that DGL cannot anticipate. Such risks may materialize at any point in time. DGL is not responsible for any adverse impact that you may encounter from a risk that has not been identified in any part of these Terms.
